FAT PIG, which was scheduled to receive a Broadway production this spring at the Belasco Theatre, will postpone its Broadway bow until next season. The postponement is due to the last-minute fallout of a key investment. This did not leave the producers enough time to reacquire the necessary capital and begin rehearsals on schedule to open prior to the Tony Awards cutoff date.
This year's 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards, scheduled to take place in May, will undergo a major overhaul designed to enhance its national visibility and outreach and provide all segments of New York Theater a larger national footprint than ever before. Announcement of those changes were made public yeterday, February 24, at a News Conference in the Inc Lounge.
