A special industry "by-invitation-only" staged reading of the new Broadway-bound play COFFEE STAINS will be presented tonight, May 20th at the award-winning Colony Theatre in Burbank, Calif. The reading will be directed by acclaimed Ovation Award winning director Jenny Sullivan (The Geffen, Pasadena Playhouse, Laguna Playhouse, Williamstown, Lucille Lortell, The Rubicon, Ensemble Theater of Santa Barbara, The Falcon).

The new play, written by playwright, Scott Damian is described as such: In the wake of Hurricane Katrina hitting the shores of New Orleans, hidden lies and ongoing deceptions of an Italian-American family are forced to the surface, but these revelations could be more calamitous than the hurricane itself in this tense and honest dramedy.

The reading will boast the talents of Joseph Sicari (Salvatore Basilone in "The Pacific" - Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Trinculo with Anthony Hopkins in THE TEMPEST -Mark Taper Forum, "Seinfeld"-Willie, Jerry's dry cleaner), Deborah Cresswell ("All My Children", "Gilmore Girls", SELLING OFF- dir. Gene Feist at the John Houseman), Brett Colbeth (KING LEAR- Antaeus, RISE- Hollywood Fringe, PULP SHAKESPEARE), Paul Haitkin ("True Blood", "House", "Criminal Minds"), Jodi Carlisle (with Tim Curry- Nickelodeon's "The Wild Thornberrys", "Desperate Housewives", "CSI Miami", THE LARAMIE PROJECT, LA Drama Critics Circle and BackStage West Garland Awards), David Atkinson ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Justified", "True Blood"), Amy Landers ("Modern Family", "Bones", and "Grey's Anatomy"), and Lorenzo Anthony ("Wilfred", "The Fall", Toshiba and Casio Commercials).

Damian is the author of the upcoming memoir "Voice: A Stutterer's Odyssey" (Behler Publications), co-founder of Branded Maverick Entertainment where he serves as director, producer and writer, penned the Southern gothic thriller "Flambeau" and the play "Racing Colt", writer and director of the award-winning "Snapper".

Coffee Stains was developed in conjunction with the School of Theatre at Florida State, under the direction of Cameron Jackson.

The play's producers are Heather Provost and Aldo Scrofani.
