Following the critically acclaimed Red Velvet, Indhu Rubasingham continues her inaugural season as Artistic Director of the Tricycle Theatre with a new production of The Arabian Nights. Indhu said "Our new production of The Arabian Nights will be the first festive show at the Tricycle. It is the second production in my first season, and I am so excited that it's directed by Lu Kemp who has brought together a wonderful ensemble cast. This version promises to offer something different for young people as well as adults. It will be very cool with magical moments and superb story telling which will be humorous, dark and engaging. New music composed by the fantastic indie band Take It Easy Hospital will also add an extra edge and bring originality to this modern interpretation".

The Old Red Lion Theatre presents Henry V and The Revenger's Tragedy running in repertory from 25 July to 29 September. These productions will be directed by the theatre's Artistic Directors Henry Filloux-Bennett and Nicholas Thompson respectively, with video design by Emil Charlaff, costumes by Mike Lees, lighting by Leo Steele, stage combat by Kev McCurdy and sound by Ella Wahlstrom. The Hampstead Theatre has announced the world premiere of CHARIOTS OF FIRE. Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett brings the Olympic story to the stage for the first time in a new adaptation inspired by Colin Welland's original screenplay. Directed by Hampstead Theatre's Artistic Director Edward Hall, CHARIOTS OF FIRE will be performed on a spectacular set by award-winning designer Miriam Buether, which transforms Hampstead Theatre into a stadium, making an immersive experience that evokes the 1924 Paris games. The production will also feature the legendary music of the Vangelis score with additional live music and arrangements by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Carr.
