East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theater of color and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is proud to announce the cast and creative team for Spring 2020 production of the award-winning Broadway musical Assassins. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by John Weidman, Assassins will be directed by East West Players' Producing Artistic Director Snehal Desai, with musical direction by Marc Macalintal. Assassins begins performances on March 12th and runs through April 5th, 2020, with opening night on March 19, 2020.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, presents the world premiere of The Tasters by Meghan Brown, directed by RTE member Devon de Mayo. Precursor to the well-known film The Birdcage, Tony Award-winning, La Cage aux Folles, remains one of the most revived, all-time biggest hits of Broadway and is running at Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria January 24 - February 29, 2020, and then transfers to Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix March 6 - 22, 2020.

THERESA CAPUTO, from TLC's hit show, Long Island Medium, will be appearing live at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 3P. Theresa will share personal stories about her life and explain how her gift works. She will deliver healing messages to audience members and give people comfort knowing that their loved ones who passed are still with them, just in a different way.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the 2020 TCG Gala: Our Stories will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at The Edison Ballroom (240 W 47th Street). The Gala will honor the National Black Theatre Festival of Winston-Salem and David Henry Hwang and will include festive performances, inspiring speakers, and a celebratory dinner with theatre leaders, celebrities, and enthusiasts. A 6:00pm cocktail reception will be followed by a 7:00pm seated dinner, with entertainment beginning at 7:20pm. Additional programming will be announced soon.

Theatre Royal Bath Productions has today announced casting for the UK premiere of Will Eno's Drama Desk Award winning play The Realistic Joneses which will be staged in the Ustinov Studio from Thursday 6 February to Saturday 7 March 2020 with opening night for press on Wednesday 12 February 2020. The full cast includes Corey Johnson as Bob, Sharon Small as Jennifer, Jack Laskey as John and Clare Foster as Pony. The production is directed by Simon Evans.

The annual holiday extravaganza SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert returned to New York City on December 1 for its 8th consecutive year, once again benefiting the programs and services of The Actors Fund.

Today, LA-based indie folk artist Cory Becker shares 'Rivers', the second single off his upcoming debut album One. Buzzbands LA premiered the track earlier this week, praising, 'It's an album that in many ways embraces the traditions of American folk music yet abides an important creative M.O.: Go where the song takes you. Becker transforms 'Rivers' from a simple paean to acceptance into an incandescent, almost-cosmic meditation that rises and falls over rustling percussion and pedal steel employed as an element of ambient drone. Think of it as a cowboy mystic's take on 'Que Sera, Sera'.' Lead single 'Haunt', released in October, was featured on Spotify's coveted Fresh Finds playlist. Stream both singles now ahead of the release - Cory Becker's debut album One is out 2/21. 

Tony Award nominated actor Ben Davis will star as El Gallo in The Link Theatre's inaugural production of Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's The Fantasticks. The first professional theatre company in Northeast Arkansas, The Link is a new non-profit theater company located in Jonesboro, AR. Broadway veteran Matt Cavenaugh will direct the musical, which will play for three nights only starting Friday, March 6, 2020 at The Glass Factory (313 W Huntington Avenue, Jonesboro, AR).

Actor Harvey Keitel has built a long career out of making small movie roles memorable. He's also earned an Oscar nomination along the way. However, Keitel believes he's never been considered “bankable,” he tells Anthony Mason in an interview for CBS SUNDAY MORNING to be broadcast Sunday, Dec. 15 (9:00 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.
