Simple science, ancient stories, and the emotions we associate with colors come to life in this immersive, theatrical journey which explores one of Hawaii's most important symbols, the rainbow.

Today experimental Portland duo Reptaliens unveil their new video '29 Palms' -- a collaborative piece by artist couple Abby Gregg and Taber Lathrop. Through the use of stop motion, hand painted film and found footage, Abby Gregg's painterly style of animation translates musical themes of '29 Palms' into intimate textures, immersive atmospheres and abstract landscapes with an emphasis on desert and oceanic environments. With the visual content compiled, Taber Lathrop's connects the song's whimsical, psychedelic and personal themes to the abstract, emotional and textural landscapes.

The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment.

Das Fest is at its core a mind-reading experience. But while I try to push the limits of mind-reading as much as I can, I am much more interested in pushing the experiential character of the performance. The main ingredients are character, story and storytelling.
