First Stage concludes its 24th season with an up-beat musical adaptation of MISS NELSON IS MISSING!, opening on Friday, April 29, 7:00 p.m. at the Todd Wehr Theater in the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment announced today that the legendary Chicago Theatre will celebrate its 90th anniversary this year. Constructed in October of 1921 as the flagship in a series of opulent movie houses, the famed venue's six-story high marquee remains one of Chicago's most recognizable landmarks today.

Harry Connick Jr. just added at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall for Thursday, April 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 18.

New York Festival of Song will present Broadway's Kelli O'Hara and opera star Joseph Kaiser in a special event at Carnegie Hall entitled A FINE ROMANCE-SONGS OF JEROME KERN The performance will take place at Weill Recital Hall at 7PM on April 4, 2011.

The Hollywood Bowl launches its 90th season with the 2011 edition of the Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame Concert, Friday, June 17, at 8:30 p.m. Grammy and Emmy award-winning singer/musician/actor Harry Connick, Jr., and seven-time Grammy award-winning pop music superstar Gloria Estefan will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys, Demi Moore and Film Independent Spirit Award-winner Patty Jenkins (Monster) have been signed to direct the Lifetime Original Movie Project Five, an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people's lives.

Harry Connick Jr. will perform his new show, Your Songs In Concert, at the Michael & Susan Dell Hall at the Long Center on Mar. 26 at 8:00.

Earlier today I had the extreme privilege of speaking to the most powerful man in the recording industry and one of the most accomplished and successful producers of the modern era, Simon Cowell, about his new reality competition show beginning in the US this September, THE X FACTOR, as well as his thoughts on Broadway in general, Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Harry Connick, Jr. and much more. Two stars of the stage - Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn -will join the New York Philharmonic for an evening of songs and duets from the Golden Age of Broadway, conducted by Tony Award winner Ted Sperling, Monday, March 21, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Ms. O'Hara, fresh off her highly successful run as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theater, returns to the New York Philharmonic following two previous appearances, including her acclaimed starring role as Eliza Doolittle in the Orchestra's 2007 production of My Fair Lady. Baritone Nathan Gunn returns after winning hearts as the swashbuckling Sir Lancelot in the Philharmonic's 2008 Camelot production and his featured role in last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert! The two stage luminaries will perform selections from classic Broadway musicals by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and Stephen Sondheim, ranging from Carousel to Follies.

On Monday, May 2, 2011 The New York Pops' marks its 28th birthday with Celebrate Hope, a grand gala evening celebrating the legacy of late actor and comedian Bob Hope and honoring decades of support by Interpublic Group. The event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists - including Brooke Shields, Cheyenne Jackson, Christine Ebersole, Kelli O'Hara, Maurice Hines, Cartier Williams and special guest Angela Lansbury - under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The New York Pops will also be joined on stage by the singers of The Camp Broadway Kids and the West Point Glee Club. Following the concert, a black tie dinner and dance will be held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.

David Grimm's Tales from Red Vienna will have a staged reading March 14 at 7:30 p.m. as part of South Coast Repertory's NewSCRipts series. It is the 114th play to receive a staged reading in SCR's venerable play reading program.

Grammy and Emmy Award winner, Tony Award nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Harry Connick, Jr. will star in a reimagined production of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER opening fall 2011 on Broadway at a theatre to be announced. The delightful Tony Award nominated score by Burton Lane (music) and Alan Jay Lerner (lyrics) is enhanced by classics from their film scores for On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970) and Royal Wedding (1951). With a new book by Peter Parnell based on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, the musical is reconceived and directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer. Further casting and creative team to be announced shortly.

Today, March 1, Harry Connick Jr. celebrates the release of his new CD/DVD 'Harry Connick, Jr. - In Concert On Broadway.' The CD/DVD was filmed on July 30th & 31st, 2010 at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway in New York City. The performance is available in four configurations: DVD, CD, DVD/CD deluxe set, and Blu-ray and may be purchased by visiting Harry's online store.
