Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group announced today that the longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, has again made theater history, reaching the unprecedented milestone of 11,000 performances. A feat achieved by no other Broadway show, the 11,000th performance took place Monday evening, July 7.

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS will appear exclusively live on ABC's “Good Morning America” nationwide this Friday, July 11th as the arena spectacular kicks off a new North American tour with engagements in Brooklyn at Barclays Center (July 16-20), followed by the Prudential Center in New Jersey (July 23-27).

On July 1, 2014, single tickets go on sale for Signature Theatre's 25th Anniversary Season. The 2014/15 season will bring three new musicals to life in world premieres including the world premiere of the Sheryl Crow and Barry Levinson penned musical adaptation of the 1982 movie Diner; Kid Victory by John Kander (Chicago, Cabaret) and Greg Pierce; and Soon by Nick Blaemire. Tickets to all of these events as well as Signature's Cabaret and Holiday Follies concerts go on sale to the public July 1 at 10AM.

BroadwayWorld was there for their first curtain call and below, you can check it out, along with their backstage meeting with Andrew Lloyd Webber himself! The audience erupted in cheers last night, as history was made when Norm Lewis became the first African-American performer to star as The Phantom in the Broadway production. In attendance were stars ranging from Lea DeLaria, to Sherie Rene Scott and icons like Andre De Shields and Melba Moore, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and director Hal Price. They were joined by with friends, family, press and of course the show's usual sold-out audience. Following a long line of Phantoms, in a role created by Michael Crawford, Lewis brought his own unique talents, heart and incredible voice to the show, and has wonderful chemistry with his co-star, who gets even better each time she's returned to the show.
