San Francisco's cutting-edge Cutting Ball Theater opens its 2008-09 season with VICTIMS OF DUTY from the master of absurdism, Eugène Ionesco. Cutting Ball Artistic Director Rob Melrose helms Ionesco's most surreal and autobiographical play, starring David Sinaiko and Felicia Benefield, and featuring Avery Monsen and Ryan Oden, October 24 through November 23 (Press opening: Thursday, October 30).

The Guthrie today announced complete casting for Harold Pinter's The Caretaker, directed by Associate Director of Studio Programming Benjamin McGovern. Actors Steven Epp (Davies), Stephen Cartmell (Mick) and Kris L. Nelson (Aston) team up for this provocative piece, widely considered to be Pinter's first commercial and critical success.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere of David Mamet's sleek adaptation of The Voysey Inheritance by Harley Granville-Barker, running Sept. 18 through Nov. 2 in the Upstairs Mainstage of the Greenhouse Theater, 2257 N. Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer), by arrangement with Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder and Executive Producer, Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director, Elliot Fox, Managing Director), will present Horton Foote's critically acclaimed new play, DIVIDING THE ESTATE, directed by Michael Wilson this fall on Broadway at The Booth Theatre (222 West 45 Street). The production is scheduled to begin performances Thursday, October 23 and open on Thursday, November 20 for a limited engagement.
