​​​​​​​ TAP CITY, THE NEW YORK CITY TAP FESTIVAL will return for its 23rd year Monday, July 3 through Saturday, July 8, with special events, local and international tap dance artists, choreographic residencies, and master classes.

The American Tap Dance Foundation's First Friday Film Festival, Sound Check (a Tap Dance Journey), will take place on Friday, January 6 at 7pm, in-studio at The American Tap Dance Center, 154 Christopher Street #2, and live streamed.

Serving as a bridge between tradition and innovation, history and progress - Indian Kathak and American Jazz Tap dance - continents and ages apart share parallel stories of struggle and perseverance in SPEAK.

Just in time for the holidays, The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) welcomes the return of the always-thrilling Dorrance Dance for three weeks of merriment and cheer. With a festive world premiere capping off each evening of three mixed-bill programs, Michelle Dorrance and her collaborators will play The Joyce Theater from December 17-January 5. Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) has announced that world-renowned performer, choreographer and teacher Daniel 'Dani' Borak is its Artist In Residence (A.I.R.).
