Disney Theatrical Productions, Dallas Summer Musicals, Inc. (DSM) and Broadway Across America (BAA) announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public today. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Music Hall at Fair Park stage on June 13, 2018 for a limited 4 week engagement through July 7, 2018.

Disney's The Lion King continues to reign across North America with a sold-out run in Jacksonville. The two-week return engagement at TheTimes-Union Center grossed over $3.1 million at the box office and entertained more than 44,000 theatergoers during 16 performances. This engagement was the second time for the show at The Times-Union Center.

The Jacksonville return of Disney's The Lion King opens tonight, Wednesday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Times-Union Center for a limited engagement of two weeks through Sunday, February 11. In Jacksonville, The Lion King will play Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. "Thus far, sales have exceeded our expectations," said Executive Director Dr. Milt Russos. "Some seats are still available during our two-week engagement, but they are going fast!"

North Texas Performing Arts proudly presents Disney's The Lion King, Jr., February 1-10th at Plano's Courtyard Theatre and at North Texas Performing Arts in their new home at The Shops of Willow Bend. The performance will be in the Rodenbaugh Main Stage Theatre. Featuring a cast of actors, ages 7-15, the production is directed by Plano Children's Theatre alum, Christian Black. Choreography is by Lonnie Hightower, who performed in The Lion King on Broadway who originated the role of one of the hyenas in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway.
