Today marks the announcement of Violinvocations, the forthcoming release from accomplished violinist Hugh Marsh, out February 15, 2019 on Western Vinyl. With the announcement comes the premiere of the song 'I Laid Down In The Snow' via Tiny Mix Tapes, on which Marsh captures mournful, wraithlike moans that sound nearer to thehuman voice than a stringed instrument.

Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING go on sale to the public on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Disney's THE LION KING will leap onto the Kravis Center stage on Wednesday, April 24 for a 2-week engagement through Sunday, May 5.

Disney Theatrical Productions and David Mirvish announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING go on sale to the public on Monday December 10, 2018. Disney's THE LION KING will leap onto the Princess of Wales Theatre stage on Thursday June 13 for an 8-week engagement through Sunday August 4, 2019.

Disney's THE LION KING grossed over $3.7 million at the box office and entertained more than 44,500 theatergoers during its three-week premiere engagement in Boise. The production, which played The Morrison Center for 24 performances from October 17 - November 4, broke the box office record for the highest gross and number of tickets sold for any single show in the theatre's history.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is encouraging patrons to exercise caution when purchasing tickets for Disney's The Lion King after identifying fraudulent tickets for sale online and on social media.

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) explores the sound of the pipa alongside familiar European repertoire with works of Mozart and Dvo?ak. These works for strings by master composers are followed by a traditional Chinese tune arranged by COP's own Dirk Brosse. The Pipa is showcased alongside the Chamber Orchestra's sound in Lou Harrison's Concerto for Pipa with String Orchestra. Wu Man will also first introduce us to the instrument by playing a solo piece for the Pipa in the intimate setting of the Perelman Theater.

Rob Morrow and Jaime Camil hosted the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (AFIPO) 2018 Los Angeles Gala, honoring Grammy and Tony-nominated American composer Stanley Silverman, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The award was presented by his son and event co-chair Ben Silverman, Chairman and Co-CEO of Propagate Content. Previous recipients of the award include multi-Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer in 2014, and conductor Zubin Mehta in 2017.

HBO Films has acquired the worldwide rights to director-writer Daniel Sawka's feature debut, ICEBOX, it was announced today by Len Amato, president, HBO Films. Produced by Oscar® and Emmy® winner James L. Brooks' Gracie Films and co-financed with Endeavor Content, the drama will debut FRIDAY, DEC. 7 on HBO.

dick clark productions announced today that the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards” will bestow the “Hollywood Documentary Award” to Live Nation Productions' Believer, the story of Imagine Dragons' frontman Dan Reynolds as he comes to a crossroads when he witnesses fellow members of the Mormon church spurned due to their sexual orientation.  Reynolds, who also served as Executive Producer on the film, will be accepting the award at the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton. As part of the ceremony, Reynolds, producer Tim Edgar and award-winning composer Hans Zimmer will also take the HFA stage to deliver a performance of Believer's empowering track “Skipping Stones.” The song is one of two original tracks that are featured in the documentary.  Reynolds teamed up with the film-score legend for this heartfelt track to promote change, love and acceptance of the LGBTQ community within the Mormon Church.
