With humour and sympathy, James Graham's play gives the nation the leader it needs

The National Theatre has announced the full cast for Dear England, a new play by James Graham telling the story of the England men’s football team under Gareth Southgate’s management. See rehearsal photos!

Charles Dickens' best-known work of historical fiction was published in 1859 and set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution of 1789.  It's a novel of revolution, of love and adventure; even if audiences haven't read the book this is definitely the show for them.  And if they have read the book, this is still the show for them.

DV8 and The National Theatre present JOHN, conceived and directed by Lloyd Newson. Creative Associate is Hannes Langolf with set design by Anna Fleischle, lighting by Richard Godin and sound design by Gareth Fry. The show runs tonight 30 October to Tuesday 13 January 2015, with an opening set for 4 November at 7PM.
