The multi-award-winning political agitators, Theatre Uncut, are back with THE POWER PLAYS: a new series of brand-new of short plays written by some of the UK's most dynamic female playwrights exploring the theme of power from the female perspective.

The production opens at Trafalgar Studios on 9 February, with previews from 6 February, and runs until 3 March.

The production opens at Trafalgar Studios on 9 February, with previews from 6 February, and runs until 3 March.

FOOTLOOSE: THE MUSICAL to Burst Back Onto the Stage at Storyhouse Chester

Following an acclaimed 2016 UK Tour, worldwide smash hit musical Footloose: The Musical will burst back onto the stage in 2017, opening the inaugural touring season at Storyhouse, Chester's brand new £37m theatre, cinema and library, from 5 September for one week only.

BWW Review: FOOTLOOSE, Richmond Theatre

There seem to be something consistently appealing about the music of the 1980s; acts such as Rick Astley and Bananarama seem to attract more concert-goers today than they did in their heyday. It makes sense, therefore, for a revival of a musical featuring such classic hits as 'Holding Out For A Hero' and 'Let's Hear It For The Boy' would appeal to the current zeitgeist.

Full Casting Announced for FOOTLOOSE UK Tour and Limited West End Season

???????Full casting is announced today for Footloose: The Musical, which returns next month following a smash-hit 2016 tour. Opening at New Wimbledon Theatre on Friday 21 April, the tour will include a strictly limited West End season at The Peacock, playing for three weeks from Tuesday 12 September 2017. 

Theatre Uncut Announces Rights-free Release of Plays on Refugee Crisis

Since 2011, each year Theatre Uncut has released a set of short plays that can be downloaded and performed rights free by anyone, anywhere for a month, creating a mass participation international political theatre event. This Autumn, Theatre Uncut will release a set of works by writers from the UK, Turkey and Denmark that respond to the refugee crisis. The six short plays offer a thought provoking and often moving analysis of Europe's response to the events that have seen many thousands of people risk everything in the attempt to escape war, terrorism and poverty the Middle East and Northern Africa. 

BWW Review: FOOTLOOSE, New Alexandra Theatre, 4 July 2016

In the mid-west American town of Bomont, a small tight knit community are suspicious of any new-comer, and especially streetwise Chicago teenager Ren McCormack. Ren has moved from Chicago with his mother Ethel after the sudden departure of his dad. Eager to move on from his recent loss and keen to spread his wings in a new town, Ren's dreams of a new start are dashed when he discovers one curious fact about Bomont County; rock music and dancing are illegal.
