'You can take an audience anywhere...' The wise Hal Prince means those words, and he has built a career off of them. Prince is a legend in the American theatre - the acclaimed director and producer behind a long list of America's most iconic musicals and has brought together six decades of magical moments in a new musical event, Prince of Broadway.

T. Fellowship, in association with Columbia University School of the Arts, announces the next T. Fellow is Allison Bressi, the sixth fellow in the one year program designed to educate and empower new creative producers.

New York City Opera opened New York's cultural season with a new production of Puccini's beloved La fanciulla del West, which WQXR called one of the resurrected City Opera's strongest productions yet. This October City Opera follows the success of La fanciulla del West with the world premiere of a new chamber adaptation of Tobias Picker's 2013 opera Dolores Claiborne, based on the novel by Stephen King. The adaptation has been prepared for City Opera by Picker, who is also City Opera's Composer-in-Residence.

PARADE is a rarely produced musical by THE LAST FIVE YEARS composer Jason Robert Brown, Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Alfred Urhy, and co-conceived by Hal Prince. Winner of the 1999 Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Original Score, it depicts the true story of Mary Phagan - a 13-year-old factory worker murdered in Atlanta during a Confederate Memorial Day Parade in 1913 - and the trial, wrongful conviction, and murder of her Jewish boss, Leo Frank.

On the day applications are due at Edgely Prep, an elite Manhattan private school, the head of admissions is ousted in a scandal. Christine Evans, a Kindergarten assistant, is unexpectedly thrust into the job.

The Broadway premiere of Prince of Broadway, a musical celebration that highlights the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Harold Prince, will now play through Sunday, October 29 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre due to popular demand. Torn between loyalty to their political cause and loyalty to the war effort, these women each struggle to make difficult choices in a time of tremendous social upheaval. The personal pits each against the political in Strange Ladies.
