The line between the dramatic world on stage and the real world off stage can seem very thin. Shows written hundreds of years ago speak to today; others hit even closer to home, depicting actual events happening right now. The latest offering from the Donmar Warehouse speaks to the latter. Setting the high drama of the Kids Company scandal against an operatic score, Committee... (A New Musical) is a bold endeavour but one which doesn't quite hit the right notes.

Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail has reported that legends of stage and screen, Jeremy Irons and Lesley Manville will star in a 2018 revival of Eugene O'Neill's classic drama, Long Day's Journey Into Night.

The Donmar Warehouse announces today two new plays for the 2017 autumn period.  Internationally-acclaimed theatre artist, Yael Farber, makes her Donmar debut directing David Harrower's haunting Knives in Hens with full casting that includes Christian Cook, Judith Roddy and Matt Ryan.  This will be the play's first major London revival since its premiere in 1995, when it instantly established Harrower as one of the UK's leading playwrights.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for The Public Administration and Constitution Affairs Committee Take Oral Evidence on Whitehall's Relationship with Kids Company a new musical with music by Tom Deering, and book and lyrics by Hadley Fraser and Josie Rourke.   

Ross Noble, Lesley Joseph and Hadley Fraser will lead the cast of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein - the classic comedy musical based on the Oscar-nominated smash hit movie - which opens in the West End on Thursday 28 September at the Garrick Theatre.

Music is the centrepiece at Hadley Fraser and Will Butterworth's show at Zedel. During the evening, they revisit classics - ranging from Broadway's beloved Stephen Sondheim, and touching Paul Simon, Harry Connick Jr, Nat King Cole, and Stevie Wonder - as if Tony Bennett and Bill Evans were to produce the arrangements.

Hadley Fraser's work ranges from Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera to Coriolanus at the Donmar and The Winter's Tale at the Garrick. He's collaborated with pianist Will Butterworth on a show that imagines Tony Bennett and Bill Evans did a third album together; the result is a mix of jazz, Broadway and contemporary classics, performed at Zedel on 1 April.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for Bruce Norris' new translation of Bertolt Brecht's satirical masterpiece The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, directed by Simon Evans with design by Peter McKintosh.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for playwright Steve Waters' searing new drama Limehouse. The play imagines what happened when the 'Gang of Four' met in 1981 to break away from the Labour party and form the SDP.

George Bernard Shaw's 1923 play about the rise and fall of Joan of Arc closes the Donmar's autumn season, following One Night In Miami. Its main focus is female emancipation, highlighting the struggles that Joan faced to make her way through a man's world - as well as doing her best to stay true to her religion and loyalty to her country.

On Monday 17th October 2016, SimG Records, the leading independent British label devoted to new musical theatre writers and artists, is to release BEFORE AFTER.

SimG Records is soon to release a Studio Cast Recording of original British love story, Before After, written by Stuart Matthew Price and Timothy Knapman. The show enjoyed its original workshop at the St James Theatre back in 2014 - funded by the Arts Council and directed by Simon Greiff - and has since been produced in Japan. Musical theatre stars Hadley Fraser and Caroline Sheen featured in this workshop and have gone on to record the album, in the hope that a full UK production will follow in the near future.
