T.H. White's classic book, The Once and Future King, is the basis of Alan Jay Lerner's script and lyrics for CAMELOT, but the real focus of this musical adaptation is the romantic triangle that forms between King Arthur, Lady Guenevere and Sir Lancelot.

Goodspeed Musicals Announces 2009 Season

Goodspeed Musicals, under the leadership of Michael P. Price, is pleased to announce the 2009 musical season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. The 46th season includes three extraordinary musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers: the dazzling Broadway song and dance extravaganza 42nd Street will run from April 17 - June 28; the second production, the Tony Award-winning Camelot will run from July 10 - September 19; and completing the season is the zany adventure A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, featuring such memorable classics as 'Comedy Tonight,' which will run from September 25 - November 29.

Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre will present Kernel of Sanity by Kermit Frazier at their home at Henry Street Settlement's Abrons Arts Center/Recital Hall (466 Grand Street). Performances begin April 9th with Opening Night set for Thursday, April 16th. Performances continue through May 3rd only. Petronia Paley directs a cast that features Madeleine James, Joel Nagle*, and Chaz Reuben*.

Award-winning musical director, Paul Gemignani, will lead the New York Philharmonic's semi-staged performances of Lerner and Loewe's Camelot directed by Lonny Price on May 7 and Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 7:30PM, and Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10 at 2PM (newly added) and 8PM. The Thursday, May 8 performance will be broadcast 'Live from Lincoln Center' nation-wide on PBS.

Lerner and Loewe's Camelot will be presented by the New York Philharmonic in four semi-staged performances, Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 7:30PM, and Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10 at 8PM. The musical - a New York Philharmonic premiere - will be directed by Lonny Price. Thomas Z. Shepard is the producer. Casting and additional production credits will be announced at a future date.
