Creator Joe Swanberg's “Easy,” returns for a third and final season on May 10, only on Netflix. This season of the anthology series consists of nine episodes and will feature some new faces as well as many returning fan favorite characters, all of whom are navigating the modern maze of love, sex, technology, and culture in Chicago.

The nominees for the 50th NAACP Image Awards were exclusively announced today at the Television Critics Association's (TCA) TV One's joint press conference with Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the NAACP and Alfred Liggins, Chairman and CEO of TV One. The winners will be revealed during the Two-Hour LIVE TV special airing on TV One on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

The Athena Film Festival (AFF) at Barnard College announced today its film slate, including opening night, closing night, and centerpiece films, as well as additional programming for the 2019 festival. The ninth annual festival, co-founded by the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College and Women and Hollywood, will take place February 28 to March 3, 2019, at Barnard College in New York City. AFF showcases films, television and content that tell the extraordinary stories of fierce and fearless female leaders from all walks of life.  The 30th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) announced that the festival's opening night will be the screening of All is True directed by Kenneth Branagh on Friday, January 4.  The festival will close with Ladies in Black, directed by Bruce Beresford on Sunday, January 13. The Festival will screen 223 films from 78 countries, including 48 premieres (4 World, 13 North American and 31 U.S.) from January 3-14, 2019.  The line-up includes a focus on cinema from France, India and Mexico, Premieres, Talking Pictures, Book to Screen, Special Presentations, FLOS: Foreign Language Oscar Submissions, Gay!La, Local Spotlight, Modern Masters, True Stories, World Cinema Now, a 30-film retrospective of selections from past festivals (free screenings sponsored by Desert Care Network and National Endowment for the Arts), and more.   

This morning, The Hollywood Reporter, along with presenting sponsor Lifetime, hosted their 27th annual Women in Entertainment breakfast at MILK Studios in Los Angeles. Speeches were given by Viola Davis, Kesha, Monica Lewinsky, Awkwafina, Lena Dunham, Lupita Nyong'o, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Nina Jacobson and Hannah Gadsby at the event where college scholarships were awarded.

Billy Crudup and Gugu Mbatha-Raw have joined the cast of an upcoming Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon-led Apple original series, according to Variety.

Variety says Keira Knightley will lead Miss World pageant dramedy “Misbehaviour” for Pathé. 

Brian Tyree Henry joins Millie Bobby Brown as co-star of Legendary's 'Godzilla vs. Kong,' according to Variety. 

Southern California audiences will be able to get lost in Jane Austen's elegant, Regency era romantic classic, Sense and Sensibility, next month. The production opens South Coast Repertory's 55th season. British playwright Jessica Swale adapted Austen's story and the show is directed by Casey Stangl on the Segerstrom Stage, Sept. 1-29.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Caine, and David Gyasi have joined the cast of 'Come Away,' according to Variety. The drama stars Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo.

Starring Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett, Don Cheadle, Regina King, David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, André Holland, Michael Ealy and Glynn Turman, DuVernay's 22-minute scripted film uses a robust combination of both documentary and narrative techniques to transport viewers through six stunning historical moments that all actually occurred on the same day in various years.
