Ricky and his performing partner Sadie Bowman offer two combustible mixtures of science and musical comedy. Forward Flux Productions to Present GREEN WHALES and STILL LIFE

This Fall, Forward Flux Productions will present its first two full productions in Seattle after relocating from New York City last year. Two brand new plays showing in the same space: the Northwest regional premiere of 'Green Whales,' a dark comedy about falling in love by Lia Romeo, and the world premiere of 'Still Life,' a touching and humorous look at life and loss in the age of terrorism by Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich. This year's version of SPC's annual Explorations Short Play Festival promises a 360 degree exploration into how the rise of mobile technologies, social networks, and emerging computer applications have impacted the human condition for good and ill. Another favorite Lord Peter Wimsey novel comes to the stage this fall as Taproot Theatre presents Dorothy L. Sayers' classic mystery, Gaudy Night. Harriet Vane's Oxford reunion is terrorized by murderous threats from the "Poison Pen," a vicious vandal determined to destroy our heroine and everything she holds dear. Is her sleuthing enough to apprehend the villain? And where is Lord Peter when she really needs him? Producing Artistic Director Scott Nolte directs Frances Limoncelli's adaptation of Gaudy Night, which opened last night, September 21 and runs through October 20. In March and April, The 5th Avenue Theatre will be holding general auditions for singers, actors, and dancers to fill both principal and ensemble roles in its 2011-12 season productions. An unprecedented six of the seven shows in the 2011-12 season will be produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre. When a bedraggled bride is found stranded at an East Texas bus station in 1942, the determined ladies of the Eufala Springs Garden Club leap into action! Lemonade, wedding cake and a gown are easy enough to come by... but where's the groom? This side-splitting comedy overflows with love, laughter and Southern hospitality at its best! Wedding Belles was written by Alan Bailey and Ronnie Claire Edwards. Directed by associate artistic director Karen Lund, Wedding Belles opens on September 24 and runs through October 23, with low-price previews on September 22 and 23, plus a pay-what-you-can performance on September 29.
