18th & Union is back from summer vacation. We're welcoming back our good friend Ricky Coates, formerly based in Seattle. Ricky and his performing partner Sadie Bowman offer two combustible mixtures of science and musical comedy. And, we'll host a new production of Jeffrey Hatcher's Three Viewings, a play that shows that even in mourning we can have a sense of humor.

Two performances only

Curie Me Away!

Written and performed by Sadie Bowman and Ricky Coates

Presented by Matheatre

A radioactive musical! From growing up in occupied Poland, where the higher education of women was a punishable crime, to becoming the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, it's the radical story of a persistent woman who changed our understanding of the universe.

Surprising, funny, and poignant, this insightful comedy takes a pointed look at unrequited love, family drama, and the masks we all hide behind. Featuring Seattle actors Gretchen Douma, Terry Boyd, and Patty Bonnell
