The Public Theater's founding press rep Merle Debuskey will be honored at an event taking place November 4th. Debuskey will be honored 'for his invaluable contributions to The Public Theater and Free Shakespeare in the Park.' Debuskey has been a press agent for more than 300 Broadway productions, the highest number of any press agent in Broadway history.

Participants include Eli Wallach & Anne Jackson, Vanessa Redgrave, Marian Seldes, John Guare, Olympia Dukakis, John Patrick Shanley, Gregory Mosher, Sylvia Miles, William Jay Smith, Lenya Rideout, Jeremy Lawrence, Wyatt Prunty, David Kaplan, Thomas Keith, Mitch Douglas, and current Cathedral Poet-in-Residence Charles F. Martin. It is expected that additional friends and colleagues of Mr. Williams will also be taking part in the evening.

Schreiber will play Eddie Carbone, the Italian-American dock worker who is secretly in love with his niece.

It has been announced that MTC's production of TO BE OR NOT TO BE will play its final performance on November 16th, 2008. November 16th, 2008 is the end of Manhattan Theater Club's subscription run. They had previously been offering tickets through November 23rd, 2008, but will now be canceling that week of performances. Patrons who have purchased tickets for performances through November 23rd, 2008 should return to their point of purchase for a refund.
