The $7.3 million production, with book by James Goldman and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, concludes in its final sold-out week in a highly successful six-week run in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater today. The musical features a cast of 41 and is directed by Eric Schaeffer with choreography by Warren Carlyle and music direction by James Moore, who also conducts the 28-piece Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra.

The Kennedy Center's all-new, critically-acclaimed production of James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award ® winning musical FOLLIES will transfer to Broadway this summer. FOLLIES will play a limited engagement at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway). Dates, Broadway casting and ticket information will be announced soon.

From 11 July 2011 Carley Stenson will play college sweetheart Elle Woods in the Olivier award-winning Legally Blonde The Musical. Stenson, who is currently playing Margot in the West End production, steps up to play the leading role joining Lee Mead who joins the cast later this month (20 June) to play Emmett Forrest and Natalie Casey as ditzy beautician Paulette Buonofonté. Peter Davison continues in the role of Professor Callahan as well as Nicola Brazil as Serena and Siobhan Dillon as Vivienne.

The 5th Avenue Theatre is thrilled to announce casting for the highly anticipated premiere of Disney's Aladdin, a new stage musical. The show will feature Adam Jacobs and Courtney Reed as Aladdin and Jasmine, James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie, and Seattle mainstay Seán G. Griffin as the Sultan. Jonathan Freeman takes the stage to embody the role he originally voiced for the film, the Royal Vizier Jafar. He is joined by comedic favorite Don Darryl Rivera as Iago. Aladdin restores a trio of characters originally conceived by the film's creators: Omar, Babkak, and Kassim, played by Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Brian Gonzales, and Brandon O'Neill, respectively. Broadway's Casey Nicholaw will direct. With book by Chad Beguelin and hit songs including 'Friend Like Me,' 'Prince Ali,' and the Oscar-winning 'A Whole New World' by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, Aladdin will enchant audiences of all ages.

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's FOLLIES will officially open tonight, May 21, 2011 after previews which began May 7. The cast will feature two-time Tony winner Bernadette Peters as Sally Durant Plummer, four-time Tony nominee Jan Maxwellas Phyllis Rogers Stone, two-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein as Buddy Plummer, Ron Raines as Benjamin Stone and Olivier Award winner Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion.

Cast members from the Kennedy Center's production of FOLLIES, including:Bernadette Peters, Danny Burstein, Jan Maxwell, Ron Raines, and Elaine Paige, are set to participate in a special insider's look at the show, complete with lively discussion and the opportunity to ask questions. Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

She joins Susan McFadden as Elle Woods, Carley Stenson as Margot, Nicola Brazil as Serena,Siobhan Dillon as Vivienne and Peter Davison as Professor Callahan. Natalie Casey takes over the role from Denise Van Outen, whose last performance will be Saturday 23 April. From mid-June Lee Mead will join the west end cast to play Emmett Forrest.

The Human Race, Dayton's own professional producing theatre company, moves next door from its home Loft Theatre for the next two weeks to present The Drowsy Chaperone. The performance is part of the Victoria Theatre Association's Miami Valley and Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series.

Tonight, 13 March 2011, as a further 180,000 tickets are released for sale, Legally Blonde The Musical celebrates at the 2011 Lawrence Olivier Awards winning Best New Musical, with Sheridan Smith collecting the Best Actress in a Musical Award for her critically acclaimed performance as Elle Woods and Jill Halfpenny picking up the award for and Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical.
