Dustin Charles to Lead A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Skyline Theatre Company

Skyline Theatre Company continues its season with a new version of Dickens' A Christmas Carol performed in a one man tour de force Sunday December 16th, 2pm at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation, 10-10 20th Street in Fair Lawn. This performance is a part of Skyline's fund raising efforts for this season.

Samuel French Inc. Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival announces the 40 semi-finalists for its 37th annual season. Chosen from over nine hundred submissions by playwriting workshops, university theatre programs, and professional companies both in the U.S. and abroad, these 40 plays will be presented October 23rd-27th with finals on Sunday October 28th at the Beckett Theatre, Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street). Out of these plays, six finalists will be chosen by the Samuel French, Inc. editorial staff to receive publication and licensing contracts.

On Monday September 19, 2011, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, and host comedian Harrison Greenbaum, announced the 2011 recipients at the Seventh Annual IT Awards Ceremony at Cooper Union.
This year's nominees represent 169 individual artists, 55 productions and 45 theatre companies. In 2011, the IT Awards had the most individual nominees than in any previous season with 169 nominees.

Sickles, Artistic Director), as part of its 2011-2012 Main Stage season, proudly presents Beneath the Hush, a Whisper, a work of historical fiction by new playwright, Abigail Somma, directed by Tom Herman. Beneath the Hush, a Whisper, set at the United Nations in the 1950's tells the story of a British diplomat, assigned to work with Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold on a project that will change the course of history. As his work begins, the conflicted UN appointee faces a personal crisis that tests his idealism and integrity.
