Award-winning playwrights Greg Oliver Bodine and Nat Cassidy team up to present a disturbing double-bill of solo performances adapted from and inspired by the man whom Stephen King describes as 'the Twentieth Century's greatest practitioner of the classic horror tale,' Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937).
Wicked Tavern Tales are vivid stage adaptations of three of Edgar Allan Poe's best short stories: ‘The Cask of Amontillado', ‘The Tell-tale Heart' and ‘The Black Cat'. This spooky trio of vignettes combines classic storytelling and macabre drama, specially written for the intimate Source venue by Greg Oliver Bodine. Amber Estes returns to direct this remounting, timed to coincide with Poe's Birthday on
January 19th.
