Today Liam Gallagher releases his long-awaited second solo album Why Me? Why Not. via Warner Records. Gallagher's sophomore release was written by Gallagher along with producers Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin, and recorded in both Los Angeles and London. Wyatt and Kurstin previously contributed with writing and producing Gallagher's internationally-acclaimed debut solo album As You Were. As the four songs released thus far indicate – “Shockwave” , “The River” , “Once” and “One Of Us” – Why Me? Why Not. is destined to become an instant modern rock 'n' roll classic; 14 tracks with that unique brand of charisma, attitude, style showcasing contrasting sides to the ex-Oasis frontman's iconic voice.

The Country Music Association has announced the final nominees for a?oeThe 53rd Annual CMA Awards,a?? as Maren Morris tops the list of finalists with six nominations. Brothers Osborne receives four nominations, the second most nominations this year, while 11 garner three nominations eacha?"Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Scott Hendricks, Dann Huff, Greg Kurstin, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton and Carrie Underwood. For the night's highest honor, reigning Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban is nominated again in the category alongside Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton and Underwood.

Today, The Bird and The Bee proclaimed their love for another legendary act announcing the release of Interpreting the Masters Volume 2: A Tribute to Van Halen, a collection of covers of some of the most massive and wild songs from David Lee Roth-era Van Halen. The beloved indie-pop duo of vocalist Inara George and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin also released a delightful new-wavey fever dream rework of 'Ain't Talking 'Bout Love,' from Van Halen's 1987 self-titled debut. This is the second track available off the album, having recently released 'Panama', a song where Kurstin's lush piano work replaces the revved-up guitar riffs of the original. The album is out August 2nd on No Expectations / Release Me Records.

In 2010, The Bird and The Bee released their fan-favorite album Interpreting the Masters Volume 1: A Tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates. Today, the beloved indie-pop duo of Inara George and Greg Kurstin have released another fantastic cover, this time of Van Halen's 'Panama.' The track is the first new music released since 2015's critically acclaimed Recreational Love and is available to stream now through Apple Music and Spotify, and to purchase through iTunes.
Recording Academy Announces Industry-Wide Initiative To Expand Opportunities For Female Producers and Engineers

Today, the Recording Academy's Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion announced an unprecedented new initiative that aims to expand opportunities for female music producers and engineers. The Producer & Engineer Inclusion Initiative is the inaugural action of a larger strategy to address gender inequity in the music industry. According to a 2018 USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative study, only 2 percent of music producers and 3 percent of engineers/mixers across popular music are women. This initiative is the first step in a broader effort to improve those numbers and increase diversity and inclusion for all in the music industry.
