The Bluegrass line-up continues the Emelin's 28-year tradition of presenting the very best the genre has to offer and the Folk series presents both legendary mainstays and hot up-and-comers. A dozen bright young stars along with renowned voices of musical theatre will come together for the La Red Launch Party, a celebration and kickoff event on Tuesday, April 14 at the Laurie Beechman Theater at 6:00 pm. The event will benefit La Red Music Theatre's first full summer season in residence in Highland Park, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago.

'Empty Space Ensemble' invades The Knitting Factory for a one night only fundraising event complete with drinking, dancing, and live music on Monday February 11th. Cast members from Wicked, Cry Baby, Gypsy, The Lion King, and more will be screaming out love songs all night in honor of Valentine's Day. Greg Brown, who music directs the evening, will lead the band in a diverse set list that ranges from Whitesnake to Whitney Houston in the Tap Room, which also features over 18 beers on tap.
