The Theatre Company at CAP21 proudly presents THE TROUBLE WITH DOUG: A MODERN-DAY METAMORPHOSIS, the New York premiere of an exciting new musical with music and book by Will Aronson and lyrics and book by Daniel Mate. The production runs June 9-27 at The Shop Theater at CAP21 located on the 6th Floor of 18 West 18th Street, NYC. The cast features Mary-Pat Green (original Broadway casts of Sweeney Todd and Candide; "Six Feet Under," "The West Wing"), Adam Heller (Caroline, Or Change, Victor/Victoria, The Immigrant, Make Me A Song), Carey McCray, Chuck Rea (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Drowsy Chaperone tour), and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams (The Black Suits, Joe Iconis' Things To Ruin). THE TROUBLE WITH DOUG is directed by Lawrence Arancio with musical direction by Greg Brown. All tickets are $18.

What if your family was thrown together suddenly under the same roof to deal with an alarming, unexplainable and downright awkward situation? What if you had a single foot, two eye stalks, and ten thousand teeth...on your tongue? In this comedic musical, inspired by Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis, Doug Gregory transforms from a healthy, happy young man into a giant slug (with some human features), and his family must face the consequences.

All performances at CAP21/THE SHOP, 18 West 18th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues). June 9-13, 16-20 & 23-27 at 8:00pm. Tickets $18. For reservations call 212-352-3101 or visit www.CAP21.org.
