Story Worthy Media will present the New York premiere of The Pitch, a darkly comedic new play by Tom Alper, directed by Mike Keller. Previews begin Thursday, October 9, ahead of an official opening on Thursday, October 16, at Actors Temple Theatre.
Based on playwright and lead actor Tom Alper’s real life experiences, this is a boiler room tale of telemarketing and desperation. For something that is fiercely realistic and edgy, with a New York fighter’s indie heart, The Pitch is also hilarious, life-affirming, and an insanely good time. It’s a sold-out smash hit at the Odyssey Theatre.
One year ago, Waterfront Productions presented The Pitch at a theatre in Hollywood. The show was a commercial and critical success. Now, The Pitch is back, in a new production with a mostly new cast (eight of the show's twelve actors are new to the play), and The Pitch is moving to the odyssey Theatre, convenient in particular to westside audiences with free parking onsite.
