UK's writers' room for theatre, Stockroom confirms a slate of three new productions for 2023, which sees it team up with four leading venues across the UK.  These productions constitute part of the company's previously announced evolution to focus on writer and script development and follows its recent loss of Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation status.

Stockroom - The UK's Leading Writers Room Launches New Scheme in London

Following their loss of Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation status and as artists and theatre professionals in London are squeezed because of the redistribution of national arts funding away from the capital, theatre's leading writers' room, Stockroom, has launched a brand-new initiative with the aim of establishing a creative hub for new writing in the city.

Review Roundup: What Did the Critics Think of James Graham's BEST OF ENEMIES?

James Graham's Best Of Enemies is now open at the Noel Coward Theatre, having transferred from the Young Vic. The play is set in 1968 and follows the fight for the American Presidency between the cunningly conservative William F. Buckley Jr., and the iconoclastic liberal Gore Vidal, played by David Harewood and Zachary Quinto. The play received rave reviews at The Young Vic, but what did the critics think of the revival?

Review: BEST OF ENEMIES, Noël Coward Theatre

It's an exceptional addition to a Theatreland that's generally lacking in political engagement, especially during the Christmas period. It's intense, brainy, and absolutely delectable. The latest West End must-see.

It's a splendid moon-filled night in Coley's Point in 1926.

Giles Terera in OTHELLO Leads Our Top Ten Shows for November

From Giles Terera as Othello at the National Theatre, to Daniel Craig as James Bond at the Royal Albert Hall, November has some real theatrical treats in store. There's also the first of the festive offerings, with a new opera at the London Coliseum based on a classic Christmas film and a much-loved revival of a Dickens' classic at The Old Vic.

Review: TAMMY FAYE, Almeida Theatre

Rupert Goold directs a sanitised tale of faith, love, and financial fraud with a cast led by Andrew Rannells and Katie Brayben as the Bakkers - the couple who changed the face of American Christianity by broadcasting “24 hours per day, seven days a week until the second coming” in the 70s and 80s. It’s a camp production, clearly pre-packaged for the West End, that’s too abridged in its retelling of the story to hit the mark.

VIDEO: Andrew Rannells, Katie Brayben, and More in Rehearsal For TAMMY FAYE

The Almeida Theatre will present the world premiere of Tammy Faye, a new musical from Elton John, Jake Shears and James Graham, directed by Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold. The cast includes Katie Brayben, Andrew Rannells and Zubin Varla. Check out all new rehearsal clips in the video here!
