Nine-year-old pianist, composer and entertainer Ethan Bortnick has been making headlines as one of the youngest musicians to have his own PBS special, and is now bringing the show to fans across the country with an upcoming CD/DVD release and national headlining tour.

Nearly 7,000 fans attended 2009's Istanbulive at SummerStage, making it one of the top-attended Central Park shows of the year. How best to improve on that success? According to event producers Serdar Ilhan and Mehmet Dede, by gearing the festival more toward the casual listener. Ilhan says, 'The first Istanbulive featured artists that were instantly recognizable to their indigenous audience: MFÖ, Painted on Water with Sertab Erener and Demir Demirkan and Husnu Senlendirici.
'Marvin Hamlisch Presents: The '70s, the Way We Were' will air on PBS this month, rmpbs.com reports. Airing dates will vary regionally. The program will also show in high definition and anamorphic widescreen.

In a thoroughly engrossing and original piece, actor Kevin Dulude portrays Katharine Hepburn in selected highlights throughout her long career. Each segment includes a song from that time period, which though Hepburn never sang originally, adds mysteriously fascinating luster to the Hepburn mystique. If she had recorded an album of these songs, each would punctuate to perfection a feeling, mood or opinion that was undeniably Hepburn.This portrayal is not an impersonation, mind you, but a loving and moving tribute - both humorous and poignant - and, remarkably well etched.

Laurel Mill Playhouse announces auditions for Disco Inferno, musically directed by Stu Knazik and directed by Patti Knazik. Auditions will take place on Saturday, May 22 at 1:30pm and on Tuesday, May 25 at 7:00pm with call backs on Saturday, May 29 at 1:30 pm.
