The 2012 Tony Awards telecast was recognized when the Directors Guild of America's 2013 award nominations were announced on January 9.

Directors Guild of America President Taylor Hackford today announced the DGA's nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television and Commercials for the year 2012.

The Broadway casts of the multi-Tony Award-winning production of "Once" and of the hit musical "Newsies." Additionally, Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain and actor Dan Stevens, who star in the Broadway revival of "The Heiress"; Emmy Award-winning actor Ed Asner, currently starring in the hit Broadway play "Grace"; Emmy winner Henry Winkler, who stars in the new Broadway production "The Performers" will drop by to chat with Frazier and Anderson.

The Tony Awards has just announced members of the 2012-13 Administration and Management Committees for next season's ceremony. The 2012-13 management committee will include: Mark Abrahams, Kristin Caskey, Ted Chapin, Sondra Gilman, James Higgins, Heather Hitchens, Paul Libin, William Ivey Long, Michael Price, Jane Safer, Charlotte St. Martin, Scott Sanders, Nick Scandalios, Thomas Viertel, Robert Wankel, and Barry Weissler.

The June 2012 broadcast of the 65th Annual Tony Awards was honored last night with a fourth Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special. The award was accepted by Glenn Weiss, who had previously won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program in 2003 for the 56th Annual Tony Awards. The 2012 Tony Awards Telecast was also honored with three Emmy Awards, which were presented at the Creative Arts Emmy ceremony last week.

CBS leads the broadcast networks in Primetime Emmy Award Nominations, garnering 60 for the 2011-2012 Season. Julianna Margulies, Archie Panjabi, Christine Baranski, Martha Plimpton, Dylan Baker and Michael J. Fox all received nods for 'The Good Wife.'
