Tony Award winner, Academy Award® nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor Hugh Jackman returns to host THE 68TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Sunday, June 8 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. This will be Jackman's fourth time hosting the Tony Awards. He previously hosted the 57th, 58th, and 59th Annual Tony Awards. Jackman received an Emmy Award for hosting the 58th Annual Tony Awards in the category of Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program.
Among the Directors Guild of America's nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television and Commercials for the year 2013 are NBC's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! and last year's TONY Awards. Earlier today, the Tony Awards Administration Committee announced that starting with the 2013-2014 season, New York-based theatre companies can now be eligible to receive the Regional Theatre Award. BroadwayWorld has since confirmed that New York City theatre companies that are associated with a Broadway house will continue to be ineligible for the award- including such groups as Roundabout Theatre Company and Manhattan Theatre Club.
