Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU just opened last night, September 28, 2014, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street), after 32 previews. The production is directed by six-time Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk Award winnerScott Ellis (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Twelve Angry Men, 1776) and will play a 19-week limited engagement. American Theatre Wing's Annual Gala Raises Record-Breaking Amount

The American Theatre Wing announced today that its annual gala, held this past Monday evening at the Plaza Hotel, was the most successful in the organization's history, raising over $750,000 (besting the previous record, which was set in 2013, by more than $50,000). All proceeds from the evening will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing, which include SpringboardNYC, the Theatre Intern Network, the National Theatre Company Grants and the Jonathan Larson Grants, and will also support free access for students, aspiring professionals, and the general public to programming on AmericanTheatreWing.org, including the long running 'Working in the Theatre' media program.

In a recent interview with Gotham Magazine, Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss revealed hopes of one day starring in Sunset Boulevard. She told Gotham: 'I've seen it twice, once with Glenn Close, the other time with Patti LuPone. Then I basically lived out my life waiting to get old enough to play that part. I also remember seeing The Will Rogers Follies. It was just such a great, old-fashioned, sad musical. I like sad musicals.' An official announcement has not yet been made.
