Opening night is this Thursday, November 20th at 6:30 pm for Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance . The production stars Glenn Close (returning to Broadway for the first time in twenty years), John Lithgow, Lindsay Duncan, Bob Balaban, Clare Higgins, and Martha Plimpton. The limited engagement of A Delicate Balance, directed by Pam MacKinnon, will run through Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). On Thursday, November 6th it was announced that Cafe Edison in Times Square is being denied a new lease by The Hotel Edison management. The diner -- which has served as a hub for the Broadway community for more than 30 years -- is expected to close at the end of the year. The story has sparked an outpouring of support from the Broadway community and New Yorkers at large, as well as produced a widely circulated online petition. Among the signees -- numbered at 6,357 supporters (as of 6:30 p.m. on Nov 11) -- are stars Glenn Close, Martha Plimpton, Christine Pedi, Karen Mason, Mary Testa, Joey Parnes, Rob McClure, Teal Wicks, Mamie Parris, Michael Cerveris, Sean Connery, Marc Shaiman, and more. Following a successful North American tour and just in time for the 40th Anniversary of Saturday Night Live Red Body Productions presents Bunny Bunny: GILDA RADNER: A Sort of Love Story, a one-woman show, from November 20th to 30th at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts Studio. This original stage abridgment of comedy icon Alan Zweibel's homage to groundbreaking Jewish comedian Gilda Radner stars Rosaruby Kagan as both Zweibel and Radner, and is directed by Tanner Harvey, with design by Jody Burkholder.

Tony Award winner Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart) and Karyl Lynn Burns (The Best is Yet to Come) present the New York premiere of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan and directed by Jenny Sullivan. Wiesenthal launches a limited 14-week engagement, from tonight, October 24 through February 1, at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, (410 W. 42nd Street). Opening night is November 5.

The National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced today its selections for the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals. Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton make up the eight new musicals that will be presented at the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals today, October 23, 2014 and Friday, October 24, 2014 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Barbershop quartets will take center stage at New Brunswick's George Street Playhouse as they present John Markus and Mark St. Germain's a cappella musical comedy, The Fabulous Lipitones on stage beginning November 18. The cast includes You Tube sensation Rohan Kymal, and Broadway veterans Donald Corren, Wally Dunn and Jim Walton. Michael Mastro (The Subject Was Roses) returns to helm the production, and Broadway veteran Michael Lichtefeld will put the quartet through their paces as choreographer.
