The National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced today its selections for the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals. Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton make up the eight new musicals that will be presented at the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 23, 2014 and Friday, October 24, 2014 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Fountain Gallery, located at 702 Ninth Avenue and representing artists with mental illness, announces the upcoming exhibition 'From Darkness to Light'. This show spotlights photographs by Broken Light Collective, the foremost online photography gallery for people affected by mental illness. The exhibition will be on view from today, June 26 through August 13, 2014, with an Opening Reception tonight, June 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. From Darkness to Light is presented through the Fountain Gallery Visiting Artists Program and is curated by Danielle Hark.

In a profile for The Boston Globe, mega-producer, theater-owner and all-around theatre impresario Cameron Mackintosh revealed he thinks Neil Patrick Harris would be 'perfect' to star in his reworked version of BARNUM, which is set to launch a UK tour this September (starring Brian Conley). That is, if Harris's 'schedule ever opens up'.
