The Hollywood Film Awards today announced that multi-talented Academy and Emmy Award-nominated, Golden Globe Award-winning actress, Grammy Award-winning musician and talk show host Queen Latifah will host the inaugural broadcast of the HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS

Academy Award(R) nominee and three-time Tony Award(R) winner Frank Langella will go deep undercover with FX's critically acclaimed drama The Americans, in a recurring role in the show's third season, which began production this week.

The Pulitzer Prize winning play Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar makes its Broadway premiere tonight, October 23, starring Hari Dhillon (star of the acclaimed London's Bush Theatre production), Gretchen Mol ('Boardwalk Empire'), Karen Pittman (Domesticated) and Josh Radnor ('How I Met Your Mother'). The Fantasticks is an amazing show in all sorts of ways. It's the world's longest running musical, 42 years in its original incarnation (1960-2002), and eight years and counting in its off-Broadway revival. Among the actors who've taken roles since its opening in 1962 are Jerry Orbach (who originated the role of El Gallo), Liza Minnelli, Elliott Gould, Glenn Close and Kristin Chenoweth. It continues to enjoy over 250 productions annually around the world.

After a 20-year absence, Glenn Close will make her return to Broadway in the new production of Edward Albee's 'A Delicate Balance'. Below, the award-winning actresss stops by this morning's TODAY to talk about her new project!

If 'Every Movie's a Circus,' as a song midway through the first act proclaims, the Short North Stage's season opening production of SUNSET BOULEVARD must be a very grand carnival. The theater group pulls out all the stops as far as color schemes and movie clips go but it is rock solid performances of stars Gina Handy and Chris Shea that brings the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical to life.

Glenn Close, John Lithgow, Lindsay Duncan, Bob Balaban, Clare Higgins, and Martha Plimpton will star in a new Broadway production of Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance this fall at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). The production, which will be directed by Pam MacKinnon, begins previews Monday, October 20 and plays an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 22, 2015. Opening night is Thursday, November 20.

The stars of Broadway will head to NBC's TODAY in the next two weeks, including Glenn Close, star of Broadway's 'A Delicate Balance,' and legendary comedian Carol Burnett, who will appear in a limited engagement of Broadway's Love Letters.

Teatro Paraguas will present Death and The Maiden by Chilean playwright Ariel Dorfman for 9 performances beginning Thursday, October 30 at 7:30 pm.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that its annual gala, held this past Monday evening at the Plaza Hotel, was the most successful in the organization's history, raising over $750,000 (besting the previous record, which was set in 2013, by more than $50,000). All proceeds from the evening will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing, which include SpringboardNYC, the Theatre Intern Network, the National Theatre Company Grants and the Jonathan Larson Grants, and will also support free access for students, aspiring professionals, and the general public to programming on AmericanTheatreWing.org, including the long running 'Working in the Theatre' media program.
