Just last night, November 14, The Public Theater celebrated opening night of PARTY PEOPLE. Guests included: Former Black Panther Chairman Bobby Seale, and original party member Ericka Huggins, as well as photojournalist and advocate Stephen Shames, along with Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Adriane Lenox, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Eisa Davis, Danny Hoch, Pascale Armand, and Sanjit DeSilva.

PARTY PEOPLE, by UNIVERSES (Steven Sapp, Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, William Ruiz a.k.a. Ninja), and developed and directed by Liesl Tommy, began performances on November 1 at The Public Theater and runs through Sunday, December 11, with an official press opening on Tuesday, November 15. The Public Theater announced today that two popular fall shows have extended due to strong demand, with a new block of tickets going on sale Thursday, October 13.

The Theory of Relativity, the new musical by the Drama Desk Award-nominated creators of Broadway's The Story of My Life, Neil Bartram and Brian Hill, will be released on disc by PS Classics on June 3. The album, recorded March 31 and April 1 at Avatar Studios in New York City, is produced by PS Classics staff engineer Bart Migal, who has produced over a dozen recordings for the label, including, most recently, Tony Yazbeck's debut solo album.

Hartford Symphony Orchestra and Goodspeed Musicals will join to celebrate 70 years of Tony Award-winning music in a blockbuster one-night-only concert event on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce the cast for the SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE and the SONGWRITERS CABARET at the 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16.
