Just last night, November 14, The Public Theater celebrated opening night of PARTY PEOPLE. Guests included: Former Black Panther Chairman Bobby Seale, and original party member Ericka Huggins, as well as photojournalist and advocate Stephen Shames, along with Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Adriane Lenox, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Eisa Davis, Danny Hoch, Pascale Armand, and Sanjit DeSilva.
Created by UNIVERSES and developed and directed by Liesl Tommy, the company features Oberon K.A. Adjepong (Blue); Michael Elich (Marcus, FBI Agent); Gizel Jiménez (Clara); Ramona Keller (Amira); Christopher Livingston (Malik); Jesse J. Perez (Tito); Sophia Ramos (Maruca); Robynn Rodriguez (Donna, Fina); Horace V. Rogers (Solias); William Ruiz a.k.a. Ninja (Jimmy "Primo"); Mildred Ruiz-Sapp (Helita); and Steven Sapp (Omar). The show is scheduled to run through December 11.
