Photo Flash: First Look at David Suchet, John O'May and More in THE LAST CONFESSION

Internationally acclaimed British actor David Suchet will reprise his role on stage in the conspiracy thriller, 'THE LAST CONFESSION', in Australia in 2014. The international production will play in Toronto and Los Angeles before arriving in Australia in August. Seasons in Perth and Brisbane were announced late last year and now dates have been confirmed for seasons at Adelaide's Her Majesty's Theatre from August 27 and Melbourne's Comedy Theatre from September 3. San Francisco Opera to Open 2014 Season with Bellini's NORMA, 9/5-30

San Francisco Opera's 2014-15 Season opens September 5, 2014 with a dramatic new production of Vincenzo Bellini's bel canto masterpiece Norma, starring American soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in one of opera's most dazzling and demanding roles. American mezzo-soprano Daveda Karanas is the young priestess Adalgisa; Italian tenor Marco Berti is Pollione; and American bass-baritone Christian Van Horn is Oroveso. Music Director Nicola Luisotti conducts the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus and Director Kevin Newbury and set designer David Korins return to San Francisco Opera to premiere this vivid, large-scale new co-production with Toronto's Canadian Opera Company, Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Norma runs for seven performances through September 30.

The North Carolina Opera Names C. Thomas Kunz Named Board President

C. Thomas Kunz has recently been named President of North Carolina OperaBoard of Directors effective July 1, 2014. Kunz said, “I am pleased to continue my association with NCO in this new role and my work with General Director Eric Mitchko, Artistic Director & Principal Conductor Timothy Myers, and the rest of the company's board, patrons and staff.”

Lyric Opera of Chicago kicks off its 60th-anniversary celebration with the 14th annual Stars of Lyric Opera at Millennium Park concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion on Saturday, September 6, at 7:30 pm. The free outdoor performance attracts capacity crowds of 11,000+.

Jason C. Tramm Conducts Ocean Grove's Summer Stars Classical Series Finale Tonight

Tonight, July 31 at 7:30 pm Maestro Jason C. Tramm will conduct the Ocean Grove Summer Stars Classical Series season finale concert at the magnificent 6,500 seat Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove, NJ. The concert 'Grand Orchestra and the Great Organ' will feature the 65 member MidAtlantic Opera Orchestra, renowned soloists and rare instruments in a program of masterworks for organ, orchestra and violin. The concert will include Saint-Saens' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso in A Minor, Charles Marie Widor's Symphony in G Minor, and Horatio Parker's Concerto in E-flat Minor.

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to Open 2014-15 Season with Beethoven's Violin Concerto, 9/18-21

Music Director Marin Alsop and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) kick off the 2014-2015 concert season with Beethoven's Violin Concerto and Mahler's Fourth Symphony on Thursday, September 18 at 8 p.m. at The Music Center at Strathmore, and Friday, September 19 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, September 21 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Baltimore native and Grammy award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn joins the BSO to perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto, which is widely considered the pinnacle of the violin literature. Lincoln Center Extends Contract of Music Director Louis Langrée Through the 2017 Season

Jane Moss, Ehrenkranz Artistic Director of Lincoln Center and the Mostly Mozart Festival, announced today that Lincoln Center has extended the contract for Louis Langree, the Renee and Robert Belfer Music Director of the Mostly Mozart Festival and Orchestra through 2017. Maestro Langree made his Mostly Mozart Festival debut with the Festival Orchestra in 1998, and was named Music Director in 2002. The artistic partnership between Langree and the musicians of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra has been an exceptionally inspired and 2017 will mark his 15th year as Music Director of the ensemble and the Festival. Under his musical leadership, the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra's stature and recognition as an outstanding ensemble has received extensive critical acclaim, and the orchestra's concerts are an annual highlight for summertime classical music lovers in New York City. In addition to its focus on the classical repertoire, concerts by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra now regularly feature works from musical periods following Mozart including the 20th century and beyond.

The North Carolina Opera Announces Casting Updates for the 2014-2015 Season

On Monday, June 30 the North Carolina Opera announced the exciting upcoming 2014/15 season at a kick-off event at CAM Raleigh.
