The Attic Theater Company presents the acclaimed revival of Preston Sturges' classic screwball comedy STRICTLY DISHONORABLE at The Flea Theater (41 White Street, Tribeca). Directed by Laura Braza, STRICTLY DISHONORABLE began performances on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 and opened on Saturday, July 26th. STRICTLY DISHONORABLE will be performed through Sunday, August 10th. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

STRICTLY DISHONORABLE begins when free-spirited Isabelle and her snobbish, upper-class fiancé, Henry, wander into a Hell's Kitchen speakeasy in search of adventure. Inside, Isabelle charms Gus Di Ruvo, famous singer and notorious playboy. Steeped in jazz and bathtub gin, Isabelle and Gus cozy up while a cast of misfit barflies sways them away from scandal. In this romantic summer comedy, personalities, pratfalls, and peach schnapps collide, leaving two lovers trying to do the fun thing the honorable way.

Written by Academy Award-winning Playwright, screenwriter and director Preston Sturges, "the father of screwball comedy," STRICTLY DISHONORABLE was first produced on Broadway in 1929, where it ran for 557 performances. The comedy was first made into a feature film in 1931 (with Muriel Kirkland, Tullio Carminati, and Louis Jean Heydt), and again in 1961 (with Janet Leigh, Ezio Pinza, and Arthur Franz).

The cast of STRICTLY DISHONORABLE features William Austin (Officer Mulligan), Michael Labbadia (Gus Di Ruvo), Thomas Christopher Matthews (Henry Greene), Keilly McQuail (Isabelle Perry), Nick Ritacco (Giovanni), John Robert Tillotson (Judge Dempsey), Christopher Tocco (Tomaso Antiovi), and Ryan Trout (Mario).

STRICTLY DISHONORABLE has scenic design by Liz Sherrier, costumes design by Travis Chinick, lighting design by Dave Upton, sound design by Lee Kinney, and props by Jazmine Harper-Davis. The Production Stage Manager is Amy Pen. Dramaturgy is by Julia Noulin-Merat, and the casting director is Lexie Pregosin, Pregosin Casting.

Presented by the Attic Theater Company, STRICTLY DISHONORABLE will be performed at The Flea Theater (41 White Street, Tribeca) Tuesday, July 22nd through Sunday, August 10th, 2014. The performance schedule is: Tuesdays through Sundays at 7pm, and Saturdays at 3pm. OPENING: Saturday, July 26th, 2014 at 7pm.
