Gerard Alessandrini's hit musical parody Spamilton celebrated a rollicking one year of performances today, Wednesday July 19, 2017.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents celebrated playwright Joseph Kesselring's Arsenic and Old Lace. Filled with colorful characters and witty plot twists, this quirky comedy is one for the ages.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced casting for the Tony Award-winning musical Guys and Dolls in the Quadracci Powerhouse this September 19 - October 29. 

Berkshire Theatre Group announces the final production of its upcoming 2017 Summer Season will be Mark Medoff's Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God, which began performances on Thursday, June 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage. Today, the producers of "Spamilton," the critically acclaimed parody of "Hamilton," announced that select tickets to the Chicago production are available for Tuesday and Wednesday evening performances for $35.  The critically hailed production is now playing in an open-ended run at the Royal George Theatre (1641 N. Halsted).

I'm always cautiously optimistic in seeing a regional production of Jonathan Larson's Rent as I am a Renthead of MANY years. The thing to remember, obviously, is art has different interpretations. It is interesting to see the different elucidations of the choreography, the varied choices the actors make, the Director's vision, et cetera. I can proudly say that The Gateway Playhouse's incarnation of the Tony and Pulitzer winner, which is kicking off a very busy Summer season for the darling Bellport venue, does not disappoint.

This past weekend, the cast of the hit off-Broadway show Spamilton celebrated their 300th performance. The critically acclaimed show has come a long way, with thanks to popular demand, from the 18-show engagement that was originally planned. Scroll down for a photo from the party!

SPAMILTON, the critically acclaimed off-Broadway parody of Lin-Manuel Miranda's sensation, officially opened on Sunday, March 12 at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago. In attendance that evening were HAMILTON Chicago cast members, including Wayne Brady.
