After two years of dedicated research and development, Digital Theatre in partnership with Routledge have announced the launch in the coming academic year of The Routledge Performance Archive - an international performing arts archive of video and text for educational institutions around the world. The Routledge/Digtital Theatre Partnership will provide access to an archive of primary materials by some of the world's greatest practitioners, for the teaching and study of performance.

New York's jazz heart wasn't always located downtown. Once it was found on 52nd Street and before that on 125th, and for many decades its most powerful radio voice has been WKCR-FM on the campus of Columbia University. Just a few yards away, jazz finds an uptown home at Columbia's Miller Theatre. This season, Melissa Smey has programmed groups from the top of her wish list in a Jazz series that begins with the inventive Lionel Loueke Trio and the Renee Rosnes Quartet.

The highly anticipated second season of BBC AMERICA's co-production, Being Human premieres this July. Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow and Aidan Turner return as George, Annie and Mitchell, the three twenty-somethings trying to live as normally as possible despite being a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost. Being Human premieres Saturday, July 24, directly following the Doctor Who season finale.

Bill Frisell, Ron Carter, and Paul Motian Perform at The Blue Note, 2/23-2/28

Bill Frisell, Ron Carter, and Paul Motian - three of the top players on their respective instruments - will take the Blue Note stage in early December for a special series of trio concerts. The three legends recorded an album in 2006 for Nonesuch records under their own name, but rarely play together live. Brought back by popular demand, the group will reunite at the Blue Note from February 23 - 28.
