Scott Cunningham - a founding member of Drama Dept. and The Vineyard Community of Artists, who died at age 47 due to pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome on June 20 - today (Monday, August 17) at 4:00pm at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street).

Actor T. Scott Cunningham, a founding member of Drama Dept. and The Vineyard Community of Artists, died at NYU Medical Center in New York City on Saturday, June 20 from complications due to pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, according to Sam Rudy, a spokesperson for The Vineyard Theatre. Mr. Cunningham was 47 years old.

George Street Playhouse begins 2009 with its production of Donald Marguiles' Sight Unseen. When first presented in 1992, the play won the OBIE Award for Best New American Play, was nominated for a Drama Desk, and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. George Street Playhouse Artistic Director will helm the production, slated to run at the New Brunswick theatre January2020 - February 15, 2009. Matthew Arkin, last seen at GSP in their production of Theresa Rebeck's The Scene, leads an ensemble including Heidi Armbruster, Christopher Curry and Kathleen McNenny.
The Guthrie today announced complete casting for its first-ever staging of A Delicate Balance, Edward Albee's 1966 Pulitzer Prize-winning portrait of upper-upper-middle-class suburban WASP culture. Under the direction of eight-time A Christmas Carol director Gary Gisselman, actors Margaret Daly (Jane Eyre) and Tom Tammi (Richard III, 1965) return for their second Guthrie productions, teaming to play Agnes and Tobias, the dysfunctional suburban couple at the center of Albee's sharp and witty masterpiece.
