HGTV Star Genevieve Gorder Announced as First Advisor to Quantum Class of Royal Caribbean International Ships

Royal Caribbean International, the cruise line known for its innovative, industry-leading ship design, amenities, programming and activities is once again taking steps to ensure that its newest class of ships, the Quantum-class, debuts with the hottest, most exciting lineup of offerings at sea. The cruise line today announced the introduction of the Quantum Experience Advisors program featuring a group of celebrity experts in fields such as design, sports & fitness, entertainment and others who will work hand-in-hand with Royal Caribbean's internal teams to provide their expertise to help shape interior design, key amenities and activities on the Quantum-class. Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas are set to debut in November 2014 and April 2015 respectively.

Joel Grey to Direct ON BORROWED TIME at Two River Theatre, 9/14-10/13

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, launches its 2013-2014 Season with Paul Osborn's On Borrowed Time, directed by Tony and Academy Award-winner Joel Grey. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater (21 Bridge Avenue) on Saturday, September 14 and continue through Sunday, October 13. The opening night performance is Friday, September 20 at 8:00 p.m..

NHTP'S DREAMING AGAIN to Tour New Hampshire this Fall

Dreaming Again, originally commissioned by the NH Humanities Council in 2011, will be touring the state of New Hampshire again this fall, in collaboration with Mariposa Museum in Peterborough. Written by Genevieve Aichele, Dreaming Again features the stories of New Hampshire immigrants and refugees over the past 100 years. Music director Agnes Charlesworth has included traditional music from all over the world, played by Peter Motson on keyboard, Cynthia Chatis on flute, and Theo Martey on West African percussion. Actors include NHTP company members CJ Lewis and Heather Glenn Wixson, and guest artists Claire White and Dan Acor.

Anthony Kearns to Perform at WWII Memorial for V-J Day on Labor Day, 9/2

The Friends of the National World War II Memorial (Friends) and the National Park Service (NPS) will pay tribute to the Greatest Generation during a special event at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. commemorating the 68th anniversary of the Allied Forces Victory in the Pacific and the end of World War II.

Getty Museum and CNP's PROMETHEUS BOUND Begins Today

This September, the Getty Museum and CalArts' Center for New Performance (CNP), in association with Trans Arts, will presentPrometheus Bound, the eighth annual outdoor theater production in the Getty Villa's Barbara and Lawrence Fleischman Theater. Featuring a newly-translated text by noted poet and essayist Joel Agee, Prometheus Bound will be directed by Travis Preston, artistic director of CNP and dean of the CalArts School of Theater, and include original music by composer Ellen Reid and celebrated jazz multi-instrumentalist Vinny Golia (who will also perform live onstage).

The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. RunningSeptember 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history.
