Rare Works by Caillette to Be Exhibited in Basel, Today

For Design Miami/Basel 2014, Demisch Danant will present a Rene Jean Caillette, solo exhibition devoted to the legendary French designer, featuring rare and important works of the 1950s and 1960s. The exhibition will include unique designs and rare prototypes acquired from Caillette's estate, including objects never before exhibited publicly.

The 35th annual Mississippi Picnic, held yesterday in New York in Central Park, had something for everyone. Alexis Brown (Madison) is a former special assistant and events coordinator at the Mississippi Development Authority and state coordinator for the picnic since 1992 and she once again had a wonderful event planned out for New York City. Governor Phil Bryant and his wife Deborah were there to support the event.

PlayPenn Announces Lineup for 2014 New Play Conference

EgoPo's 20th Anniversary Gala Set for 6/25

EgoPo Classic Theater celebrates their 20th anniversary with a special Annual Gala on Wednesday, June 25th from 6-9pm on the tall ship Gazela, docked at Penn's Landing (Market St. & Columbus Blvd.). This sea-themed Gala will feature food by Stephen Starr, an open bar, a huge silent auction, and live sea shanties sung by EgoPo's artists while guests sip champagne under the stars.

The York Theatre Company just presented its one-night only benefit concert, NEO 10, celebrating up and coming musical theatre writers, on Monday evening, June 2, 2014 The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The NEO 10 concert featured songs by this year's NEO writers: Bobby Cronin, Gabriel Kahane, Shaina Taub, andSam Willmott. The evening will also include songs by guest writers (and past NEO honorees) Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The evening, directed by Annette Jolles, with music direction by David Shenton, included previously announced performances by Starr Busby, Liz Callaway, Kate Ferber, Grace Mclean, Andy Mientus, Kristin Sieh, Phillipa Soo, and the ensemble from Marymount Manhattan College. The awards ceremony was co-hosted by Tamara Tunie and Hamish Linklater. The awards were presented by Betsy Aidem, Harvey Fierstein, Lena Hall, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Andy Karl, David Bar Katz, Cristin Milioti, Kelli O'Hara, Lily Rabe and Stephen Trask.
