Leading South Australian children's theatre company, Patch Theatre, has appointed their third Associate Director for their Artistic Director Residency Program, securing another talented arts all-rounder, Thom Browning. Thom is the final of the Associate Director appointments and has the opportunity to work with renowned children's theatre producer and current Artistic Director, Dave Brown, as he heads into his final18 months at the helm of Patch Theatre.

The critically acclaimed UK premiere of Jerry Mitchell's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will extend its run at The Savoy Theatre and is now booking until 7 March 2015. Robert Lindsay, Rufus Hound and Katherine Kingsley will continue with their celebrated performances as Lawrence Jameson, Freddy Benson and Christine Colgate throughout this new booking period. Following its hugely successful opening in April, the cast and the Producers are thrilled to be extending the production into Spring 2015.

New Hampshire Theatre Project's Youth Repertory Company will present Joseph Kesselring's macabre and hilarious comedy, Arsenic & Old Lace, today, May 16-25.

Turtle Bay Music School's 10th Annual Perform-A-Thon will be held Friday, May 16th through Sunday, May 18th. The community music marathon opens tonight, May 15th with a Kickoff Concert and Reception, featuring performances by a trio from the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Mark O'Connor, Jason Robert Brown, and Sujari Britt.

Heartbreak House, one of Shaw most admired of curious comedies, is packed full of extraordinary roles. Each member of the cast gets to take a bite out of this rarely produced and provocative piece. Set just before WWI, the action of the play takes place in and around the Shotover home, built like a ship on top of a hill on the English countryside. In the course of the play, everyone learns to face the future, however tumultuous it may be.

The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus invite you to enjoy light opera overtures and opera choruses, in addition to Irish traditional favorites and opera standards from one of Ireland's most famous tenors, Anthony Kearns. World-renowned Tenor Anthony Kearns, the original founding member of The Irish Tenors, will be performing at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts on November 20, 2014 at 7:30 pm.

Popular tenor Anthony Kearns will be a guest performer in PBS's National Memorial Day Concert, which has become a national tradition over the past 25 years. This year's program will be a tribute to America's men and women in uniform, their families, and all those who have given their lives for our country. New Hampshire Theatre Project is proud to announce their 2014-2015 performance season, Transcending Boundaries.

Just last night, High school students from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, and Seattle perform monologues by the legendary American playwright August Wilson as a part of the 6th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition. Emceed by Kenny Leon (True Colors Theatre Co-Founding Artistic Director), the event was judged by Pauletta Washington, Stephen McKinley Henderson, David Cromer, James A. Williams and Narda E. Alcorn, with a special performance from the upcoming Broadway Tupac Shakur musical Holler If Ya Hear Me including cast members Saul Williams, Christopher Jackson, and Ben Thompson.

The U.S. trailer for HALF OF A YELLOW SUN, an adaptation of celebrated Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's best-selling novel of the same title, has been released. The film stars BAFTA award winner Thandie Newton and three-time Golden Globe nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor. Check it out below!

Richard Brinsley Sheridan's classic romantic romp, The Rivals, returns to The Pearl for the hilarious story of Lydia Languish who is... languishing. She can imagine nothing more romantic than eloping with the impoverished Captain Beverly. Little does she know that 'Beverly' is really Jack Absolute, a wealthy aristocrat who fears the truth of his identity isn't nearly romantic enough for Miss Languish's taste. How will he win her-from himself?

Ray Romano has signed on to an untitled Rock 'n Roll drama pilot in the works at HBO.

As BroadwayWorld reported yeaterday, Tony Award-nominated director Nicholas Martin passed away on April 30th at the age of seventy-five. Most recently, Martin directed the critically acclaimedChristopher Durang play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which opened on Broadway last March. For this production, Martin was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Director and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Director. Martin also directed the Off-Broadway production of the play in 2012. BroadwayWorld remembers the legendary director below.
