AFI and TV Land announced today that Clint Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Sidney Poitier, Mike Nichols, Matthew Broderick and Rita Moreno are among the luminaries in film who will pay tribute to Morgan Freeman, the 39th AFI Life Achievement Award recipient.

THE BARN PLAYERS 2012 SEASON

Ilyse Robbins adds Director to her resumé with impressive staging of classic Broadway musical. Her choreography is well-served by a talented troupe of tapping chorus boys and girls. Local favorite Kathy St. George gives leading lady Dorothy Brock a makeover.

Over 40 Gershwin songs from the Great American Songbook, including "The Man I Love," "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off," "Love is Here to Stay," "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Rhapsody in Blue," can be heard in "'S Wonderful: The New Gershwin Musical," from June 1-18 at the Gateway Playhouse in Bellport.

Director Kate Adams-Johnson, aka Nashville's busiest choreographer, is putting yet another cast through the paces in preparation for another opening night. But this time, she's serious. Very serious. The show, you see, is every dancer's favorite musical: A Chorus Line. Kate's cast is a blending of familiar faces and newcomers and so over the next few weeks, you'll get to know the members of The Keeton Theatre's cast - as you'll see, some of them have much to learn about being interviewed by 'Nashville's favorite theater critic.' Next up is Chad Ray...who has quickly learned his way around a tricky interviewer on just his second show...

Mitzi Gaynor will bring her incomparable brand of showmanship back to the stage in this new theatrical production, a glittering multimedia one-woman tour-de-force of music and memories from her show-stopping life and career.
