The Rocky Horror Show will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, Sept. 15 - Nov. 6. Preview performances run Sept. 15 - Sept. 22. In celebration of Lucille Ball's 100th birthday and the 60th anniversary of I Love Lucy, The Hollywood Museum, CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment pay tribute to Lucy - America's Queen of Comedy, with a reception and the largest 'I Love Lucy' reunion in a decade on Thursday, August 4, 2011 6:00 -9:00 p.m.

Details have just been released on concerts featuring Broadway legends Elaine Stritch and Lorna Luft at New York City's Town Hall. Stritch will appear on October 22at 8Pm, while Luft will tribute Judy Garland and Gene Kelly on October 28 at 8PM.

The movie version of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN is one of my all-time favorites. It has such an upbeat feel and infectious sense of humor that it's almost disappointing when you finish watching it, step outside, and it isn't raining. Happily, the stage version retains a great deal of the tone and vivacity that the movie contains, even though this kind of reverse-engineering usually winds up a mixed bag at best. But, The Muny's current production, even with the sweltering heat we're currently enduring, is worth braving the broiling for, with winning performances and a bevy of familiar hummable tunes that haven't lost a bit of their original charm.
