Hadyn Gwynne, Jerome Pradon and Anna Skellern join Tamsin Greig in the UK premiere of David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane's new musical adaptation of Pedro Almodovar's Oscar-nominated film Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher, and following two full-scale development workshops with actors, musicians and the creative team, the production will open in a limited run for 20 weeks only at The Playhouse Theatre on 12 January 2015, with previews from 20 December 2014.

Rehearsals for the forthcoming West End musical Made In Dagenham are now underway, ahead of the show beginning previews on Thursday 9 October, with press night on Wednesday 5 November. The company, led by Gemma Arterton, Adrian Der Gregorian and Isla Blair were recently visited by three of the original Ford Dagenham strikers, whose heart-warming and inspiring story provides the backdrop for the new musical, with book by Richard Bean, music by David Arnold and lyrics by Richard Thomas.

Gemma Arterton was recently in the recording studio working on the upcoming musical Made In Dagenham, which is about when women mechanics working at Ford Motors demanded equal pay. Even though the equal pay law has been passed, according to The Daily Mail, Arterton is angry because the law has yet to be taken seriously.
