Cormier's most clever lyrics appear in 'Keep Your Temper' sung by the charismatic Santino Tomasetti as Admiral Pillar and 'Name Me Names' oh-so-sassily delivered by Emily King Brown as the Queen of Hearts.

After auditioning performers in New York City, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre has confirmed casting for all six shows in the 65th Music Circus season. Thanks to Carole Eglash-Kosoff's World Premiere production of her play THE HUMAN SPIRIT at the Odyssey Theatre directed with insight and compassion by Donald Squires, I now have a much clearer understanding of the horrible decisions made by white Europeans leading to apartheid against native black Africans, even those who had fought during World War II and were treated as second class citizens once they returned home.

Heroes who struggled to achieve a Black majority-run Democracy in South Africa are still being revealed. The Human Spirit is the story of some of the men and women who devoted their lives to support that country's most disadvantaged. Some toiled publicly, but most worked tirelessly in the shadows to improve the welfare of the non-white populations who had been neglected for nearly half of the century. Nelson Mandela was still in prison, clean water and sanitation barely existed, and AIDS was beginning to orphan an entire generation. This World Premiere production of THE HUMAN SPIRIT is being directed by Donald Squires, opening on June 7th, as a guest production at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles.

Crown City Theatre Company has announced 12 more performances of 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change', featuring Book and Lyrics by Joe Di Pietro/Music by Jmmy Robert. Performances will continue Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm through February 2nd.
