DAMN YANKEES Opens at TriArts Sharon Playhouse Tonight

The bases are loaded with musical theatre magic as TriArts Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Alice Bem and Executive Director and John Simpkins Artistic Director, presents the Tony Award-winning musical Damn Yankees from August 14-25 on the TriArts Mainstage (49 Amenia Road, Sharon).

Tickets Now Availabel for NYC Mayoral Democratic PrimaryDebate

On Wednesday, August 21 at 7pm at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), the first NYC Mayoral Democratic Primary Debate will take placemoderated by Errol Louis of NY1. A limited number of tickets to the debate are available free to the public and can be reserved by sending an email to debates@citizensunion.org or calling 212-227-0342, ext. 39. Reserved tickets can then be picked up on 8/21 beginning at 12pm and through 6:30pm at The Town Hall Box Office. Any available unreserved tickets will also be available the day of at the box office.

Paramount Theatre Adds Larry the Cable Guy & More to 2013-14 Lineup

Last March, the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd. in downtown Aurora, caused a big stir among its nearly 20,000 subscribers by revealing a blockbuster line-up for its 2013-14 Broadway Subscription Series: IN THE HEIGHTS (September 11-October 6, 2013); MISS SAIGON (October 30-November 24, 2013); 42ND STREET (January 15-February 9, 2014); and RENT (March 12-April 6, 2014).

Improv Pair TJ & Dave to Play Town Hall Theatre, 10/11

Two of the most original theatre artists in America, the long-form improvisers TJ & Dave, will be presented at The Town Hall, 123 West 43rd Street, for the first time on Friday October 11 at 8pm. Jerry Seinfeld, Kristin Chenoweth & More to Headline Saenger Theatre's Reopening Lineup

After more than eight years, the historic Saenger Theatre will proudly reopen its doors this fall with a grand opening celebration, featuring a lineup of performances commemorating the city's love for live entertainment of all kinds. The initial announcement includes a variety of entertainment beginning on Sept. 28 and continuing through Jan. 10 of 2014. Additional performances will be announced as they are confirmed. The Saenger Theatre is currently undergoing a $52 million restoration led by the City of New Orleans, Canal Street Development Corporation, and ACE Theatrical Group.

The Orpheum Presents A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION, On Sale Now

Garrison Keillor will once again be winding his way down the Mississippi River with his St. Paul-based radio program to Memphis, TN for a live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion on Saturday Oct 26th, from the Orpheum Theatre.
